Rev. Shirley M. Frisbee has a progressive call of God on her life. God called her in the late 1970's to engage in community development, and He led her to move to Guatemala to live and work among the Mayan Indians. God specifically called her into ministry in 1981 from Isaiah 61:1-4, and she graduated from seminary in 1990. In 2000 God put a life-time call on her life to work with Indigenous people from Esther 4:14. The Elders of her church laid hands on her and sent her to Arizona as their Ambassador, and God gave her a mandate from Ezekiel 37:4-6 to heal the land and its people. Rev. Shirley has almost three decades as a Prevention Specialist 2, trained and certified to engage in Tribal Empowerment programs. In 2008, Rev. Frisbee started a state-wide coalition in Arizona to address Underage Drinking among Urban Native American Youth.

That year, God empowered her to write a wellbriety program for Indigenous People entitled Native Turning Point. In 2010 He had her create a training program called Core Competencies for Spiritual Caregiving.

She has written ten Books. Rev. Shirley has expertise in training, and she cross trains the faith community and Social and Behavioral Health. In celebration of National Native American Heritage Month, on November 21 at 10:00 am, Rev. Shirley will share with us some issues of concern to American Indians, especially Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Children, and impart to us some Core Competencies for Spiritual Caregiving that address Native American wellness.
